EDUCATE, EQUIP, AND EMPOWER GIRLS (youth)
ABC Girls, Inc. is a mentoring program designed to educate, equip and empower girls (youth) through positive character development to help them embrace who they are, and their abilities to succeed in life. ABC Girls uses mentors with like personalities, background or experiences that can relate to both, girls and their circumstances. ABC mentors are dedicated to working collaboratively with the village (home, school, and community) to restore hope, character and stability in a positive and compassionate way.
ABC Girls focus on etiquette (appropriate) behavior, preventative strategies (identity crisis, low self-esteem, peer pressure, bullying) to help girls make better and not popular choices, identify inner beauty, strengths and weaknesses. Improve conduct and develop social skills.
"After 12 years as a Liaison between the home, school and community; many home visits, parent contacts and assessments of the needs of children and families. I founded Aspiring, Beautiful and Confident Girls, Inc. in 2007. I decided to remove the limitations that stood between my calling, desire and passion to do more. When you hear a little girl's story second hand is one thing. But when you walk into a home and witness it first hand for yourself, it becomes a reality." –Michelliah McCraney

ABC Inc. Curriculum is ideal for all-girls mentoring or youth program. The curriculum focuses on: character development, etiquette (appropriate) behavior, and social skills. Bullying, identity crisis and peer pressure. Health and wellness, ridding of low self-esteem; instilling moral values, responsibility, faith and confidence in girls.
"I AM!" encourages girls to express themselves through journaling. And because we believe "journaling" is therapeutic. Journaling is a part of our curriculum. During our journaling time girls are able to savor moments that inspired them, express their thoughts and or feelings, and journal from the heart.
We believe grade school is a good time for girls to begin the process of establishing their identities. That is why we equip our girls from childhood and prepare them for adulthood.
The "Aspiring, Beautiful and Confident Girls" After School group mentoring meetings are held once or twice a week, at the school on the designated day selected by the school principal. The meetings shall begin in September or October and end in May.

On our meeting dates girls are asked to wear their "Aspiring Beautiful & Confident Girls" T-Shirts in the spirit of unity and sisterhood.
